Our Beliefs

A Firm Foundation

01. GOD

We believe that there is only one true and living God, existing in three persons — Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Each is a distinct Person, but they are all of one essence; they all have the same nature, perfection and attributes, and each is worthy of precisely the same worship, confidence and obedience.

Scripture References: Genesis 1:1-3, 26; Matthew 3:16,17; John 1:1,14, 10:30, 14:26, 15:26; Matthew 28:19

02. JESUS

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary; that he shed His blood on Calvary in our place, was buried, rose again and ascended to the Father, according to the Scriptures.

Scripture References: Luke 1:26-33, 22:20, 24:46

03. HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity — God — and coexistent with the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit is the Chief Agent in the regeneration of the soul, the Chief Convictor of sin and the Chief Comforter of the believer. Simultaneous with regeneration, the Holy Spirit baptizes the believer into the body of Christ, permanently indwells him and seals him in salvation for all eternity. The Holy Spirit is the giver of spiritual gifts to the believer.

Scripture References: John 16:1-13; Acts 5:3-4; Titus 3:5; Matthew 3:11; Ephesians 1:13-14; I Corinthians 12:1-11

04. MAN

We believe that man is the direct creation of God — body, soul and spirit. Therefore, man is not in any way a result of evolution but is made in God’s image. The sin and fall of Adam resulted in the fall of creation and mankind, both physically and spiritually.

Scripture References: Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:10, 5:12, 8:18-23

05. SALVATION

We believe that all who, in faith, receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior are born again by the Holy Spirit and thus become the children of God. Salvation involves redemption, regeneration, sanctification and glorification.

Scripture References: Ephesians 1:7; Romans 10:9-10, 5:7-11; Colossians 1:13-14, 21-22; John 17:16-22; II Corinthians 5:17; I Corinthians 6:19

06. BIBLE

We believe that the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God and is inerrant in the original writings. The Bible being the revealed Word of God is the ground and foundation from which all claims of truth shall be substantiated. The Word of God is alive and quick! Through God’s sovereign hand, the Scriptures have been preserved and are the supreme and final authority.

Scripture References: II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21; Hebrews 4:12

07. THINGS TO COME

We believe that the Scriptures foretell certain events among which are the following:

Rapture of the Church: We believe that Jesus Christ will return to the atmosphere of this earth; that the dead in Christ will rise first, then believers who are still living will be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air and to ever be with the Lord; that the rapture is the next event on the revealed calendar and that no prophecy need be fulfilled before this occurs. We believe the rapture will occur before the tribulation

Scripture References: 1Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:42-44, 51-54; Philippians 3:20-21; 1 Thessalonians 5:9; Romans 5:9

Tribulation: We believe that following the rapture there will be a time of tribulation on the earth. It will be a time when the antichrist will be manifested, and that there will be great judgments from God.

Scripture References: 1Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:42-44, 51-54; Philippians 3:20-21; 1 Thessalonians 5:9; Romans 5:9

Second Coming: We believe that following the tribulation Christ will return to the earth with His glorified saints to establish the millennial kingdom; that during the 1,000 years of peace and prosperity Satan will be bound and Christ will reign with a rod of iron; that at the end of the millennium Satan will be released for a short time, deceive many and lead them in final rebellion, but be put down with his armies by God.

Scripture References: John 14:3; Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16; James 5:8; Hebrews 9:28; Revelation 20:7-10

Eternal State: We believe that the unsaved men of all ages will be resurrected and together with the evil angels will be finally judged and condemned to everlasting conscious punishment in hell; that all saved of all ages in glorified bodies will enjoy everlasting blessing in the presence of God

Scripture References:Revelation 20:11-15
